Jon Schaffer (Iced Earth) a confirmé qu'il prépare le nouvel album de Demons and Wizards avec le chanteur Hansi Kürsch de Blind Guardian. Depuis sa création, il a mis en vente deux albums, celui éponyme en 199 et "Touched By The Crimson King" en 2005.

La composition du nouvel album est débutée, mais Schaffer a fait savoir que ça pourrait prendre du temps. Actuellement, Hansi travaille sur deux chansons qu'il a reçu. Ils devront se rencontrer pour essayer ces compositions. Il espère pouvoir sortir l'album l'année prochaine. Ce n'est pas une chose facile en raison de leur horaire respectif.

Schaffer : "We're gonna take our time, but at least now we're actually doing it. So I would hope that next year we'll have it out. I hope that we can get the songwriting all dialed in in this calendar year in between the holes — he's busy, I'm busy — but at least we're actually moving forward with it for the first time in twelve years or whatever."
