La saga entre les deux versions du groupe Queensrÿche semble belle et bien terminée. Geoff Tate et ses anciens collègues en sont venus à une entente.
Suite au départ de Tate, il y a une poursuite judiciaire en raison des deux incarnations sous le nom Queensrÿche. Les deux clans pouvaient utiliser le nom jusqu'au dénouement du dossier en Cour. Heureusement, ils en sont à une entente à l'amiable.
Le résultat ? La version de Queensrÿche avec le chanteur Todd La Torre pourra continuer de faire des tournées et enregistrer des albums sous ce nom, tandis que Geoff Tate continuera seul de son côté avec de nouveaux projets. Par contre, Tate devrait faire une tournée "d'adieu" de sa version de Queensrÿche cet été. Toutefois, Tate a obtenu les droits exclusifs de jouer les albums Operation: Mindcrime I et II dans leur intégralité. Bref, Queensrÿche pourra continuer à jouer des chansons de ces albums, mais seulement Tate pourra inclure ces deux albums complets lors d'une seule prestation.

"We wanted to let Queensrÿche fans around the world know that an amicable settlement has been reached between Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield, Michael Wilton and Geoff Tate with regard to the future of the Queensrÿche name.
According to the agreement, original Queensrÿche members Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Michael Wilton along with recent members, Todd La Torre and Parker Lundgren, will now be the sole entity recording and touring as Queensrÿche, performing selections from their entire musical catalog that spans over 30 years of material. Original Queensrÿche lead singer Geoff Tate will continue to record, perform and pursue a variety of other creative endeavors and, as part of the agreement, will have the exclusive rights to perform Operation: Mindcrime I and II in their entirety as a unique performance. Both sides wish each other well and are excited about what the future holds. We want to thank the fans for standing beside us through this ordeal and look forward to sharing our music with you for years to come."
